    1. Maintain effective working relationshipswith country United Nations Department of Safety and Security(UNDSS) office, host government agencies, and local authoritiesresponsible for security, in order to obtain up-to-datesecurity-related information that is beneficial to IOMQatar.

    2. Assist the Field Security Officer incollecting, updating and communicating information regarding thesecurity situation in Qatar.

    3. Support the FieldSecurity Officer in the development and implementation of IOMCountry Office-specific security plans including contingency andemergency response plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),including providing security-related inputs into the BusinessContinuity Plan (BCP).

    4. In coordination withField Security Officer, follow up staff member'scompliance with safety and security protocols including completionof mandatory security training, obtaining security clearances asrequired.

    5. Provides support in conductingsecurity survey of offices in IOM Qatar.

    6.Support the effective management of the Country Office Wardensystem, by maintaining updated staff lists, including call signlists, and ensuring the overall operability of communicationssystems particularly SCAAN. Ensure that all relevant safety andsecurity information is disseminated in a timely manner to IOMpersonnel.

    7. Ensure that all safety and securitycommunications equipment is functioning and in good condition, witha regular inventory duly maintained.

    8. Assist inreporting security incidents affecting IOM personnel, premises,assets, and operational activities in IOM Qatar. This includesproviding support in the preparation of security reports such asSecurity Incident Reports and Weekly Reports.

    9.Provides support in organizing and conducting training courses onsecurity awareness and preparedness and providing securityorientation to newly assigned IOM personnel in the duty station.Conducts security briefings, as required.

    10.Maintain an orderly filing system for confidential correspondence,security files/documents. This includes maintaining a database oncontact details of country UNDSS office and host country securityauthorities.

    11. Perform such other duties as maybe assigned.
