Accountable for thesuccessful delivery of the MEP services including management of theProgramme, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Quality &Commissioning of the project.
Liaises and coordinates with keyproject stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with theClient, Consultants, Trade Contractors, and other teamleaders.Leads tendering process and provide technical andcommercial support to bid teams and sector leadership/bid leads.
Ensuring adequate internal and external resource needs areidentified and agreed.
Establishes procurement strategies andensures specialist packages and appointments are procured againstthe agreed scope demarcation and to budget.
Undertakes initialreview of contracts and scope, assists in the preparation ofbudgets, value engineering, schedules and trade contracts andprovides support to the commercial teams throughout the projectlifecycle in terms of reviewing progress or resolvingissues.
Creates and deploys project strategic plans in conjunctionwith Mace operating framework and strategic priorities, such asPrefabrication (C2P), Commissioning and Safety.
Oversees designreviews on information provided by Consultants and Tradespecialists, checking for compliance, coordination, andcompleteness, including Embodied Carbon and Operational Energyassociated with the MEP Services design, in accordance with RIBAand BSRIA design frameworks.
Prepares and coordinates deliverystrategies and programmes for all phases of the project, ensuringkey milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and worksequencing are properly considered.
Supports and implementsCommissioning strategies in line with Mace Commissioning standardsinclusive of IST approach, ATP s and Soft Landings.Undertakesproductivity assessments using digital technologies to ensure theproject/package is on schedule, identifies trends, key issuesand/or critical path risks.
Manages project close out to ensure allelements of completion are delivered to a high standard, such ascommissioning, as built drawings, O&M Manuals, and clienttraining.
Proactively identifies risk and the production ofmitigation plans.Reviews issues to drive continuous improvement andproviding lessons learned through the knowledge shareprocess.
Manages & provides leadership to a team of Managersand Professionals, ensuring the principles, structures,tools/capabilities, and responsibilities are in place to deliverarea plans and deliver excellence.
Provides performance management,technical development, and coaching.Works collaboratively towardsthe common goal of net zero carbon transition and shareresponsibility for the proactive identification and management ofthe associated carbon emissions and reductions during the deliveryof work.
You ll need to have:
Recognised degree inEngineering/Construction.
Member of APM or other recognised PMInstitution.
Extensive professional experience in buildings andexperience in workplace/office HQ fit-out projects.
You ll needalso:
