Withholding Taxes Analyse transactions atinvoice processing level to determine the WHT implication andensure that WHT is applied on transactions that are within thescope of WHT.
Review and verify the weekly payment batch to ensurethat the WHT rules are accurately and consistently applied duringthe tax validation process.
Inform the Lead-General Accounting ifthere is a need to take corrective action when required uponanalysis and review of the invoices (wrong deductions, paymentsetc.) and upon discussion with the Senior Tax Accountant.
Monitortax payments (including reconciliations with the General TaxAuthority) and ensure compliance with set deadlines to avoid anypenalties on COMPANY.Manage the issuance of Tax certificates inrelation to tax withheld, including preparing the certificates,maintaining records of certificates that had been issued anddownloading the Dhareeba issued certificates.
Contract TaxRetention Analyse transactions at invoice processing level todetermine the Contract Tax Retention implications and ensure thatContract Tax Retention is applied on transactions that are withinthe scope of Contract Tax Retention Rules.
Review and verify theweekly payment batch to ensure that the Contract Tax Retentionrules are accurately and consistently applied during the taxvalidation process.
Inform the Lead-General Accounting if there isa need to update the Contract Tax Retention monitoring file toensure that all contracts entered with temporary branches are allcovered and the position for each contract isdocumented.
