    Requirements GU-Q islooking for a Procure to Pay Manager to join the Finance team,reporting to the Associate Director for Procurement and Payables.

    This position manages the end-to-end process of procurement andpayment operations, streamlines process to ensure optimalefficiency across the procure-to-pay cycle and overseesadministration and communication of policies to ensure compliance.

    The successful candidate is expected to manage and oversee the workof direct reports, including setting and reviewing performanceobjectives, and identifying training and development needs.


    Note:
    As the temporary positions are based in Qatar and offer norelocation assistance, GU-Q is looking for locally based candidatesonly. The positions require all applicants to already have thenecessary sponsorship to live and work in Qatar. GU-Q is looking tofill this vacancy as soon as possible.


    Key Accountabilities:

    • Manage the end-to-end process of procurement and paymentoperations, collaborating closely with the accounting team onaccounting requirements.
    • Contribute to streamliningprocesses and ensuring optimal efficiency across the completeprocure-to-pay cycle.
    • Oversee administration andcommunication of procurement and payment policies to ensurecompliance

    Key Activities:

    • Provide guidance andcommunicate procurement actions to requesters, assisting withspecial or complex requirements.
    • Maintain the processfor monitoring all procurement and payment transactions.
    • Monitor and resolve issues preventing the timely payment ofinvoices.
    • Ensure reporting on the performance of theProcure-to-Pay function.
    • Work with internal customers ondetermining root causes of compliance breakdowns in standard P2Pprocedures, implementing solutions aligned with procurement andbusiness objectives.
    • Collaborate with other teams toinstitutionalize P2P activities, fostering proactive and productivecross-functional relationships, sharing experience/knowledge andmentor others across the campus to help build procurementcapabilities.
    • Assist the Assistant Director of StrategicSourcing and Process Improvement in conducting reviews withbusiness and functional leaders to address evolving business needsand ensure that the strategies contribute to the growth of GU-Q.
    • Assist with the developing business practices andprocedures as needed to increase efficiency and level of customerservice.
    • Provide continuous communication andinformation exchange to internal and external customers on projectstatus, results, activities, and issues.
    • Collaborateacross organizational levels, functions, businesses, andgeographies to achieve procurement goals and objectives.
    • Develop and communicate procurement and payment policies.
    • Periodically review policies, procedures, and programreports, updating them as needed.
    • Stay updated on bestpractices in the entire procure-to-pay process and implement thepractical application of those best practices within GU-Q'sbusiness environment.
    • Work on special purchasingprojects.
    • Manage and oversee the work of direct reports,including setting and reviewing performance objectives, andidentifying training and development needs.
    • Othersimilar duties, as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting,Finance or related field.
    • Certified PurchasingProfessional (CPP or CP2P) is preferred.
    • 4+ years priorwork experience in a Finance Office, preferably at a universitysetting.
    • Quantitative and financial analysis backgroundis preferred.
    • Experience using Workday is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of procurement and payables processingand analytics, PC's, word processing, spreadsheet, Windows,and database packages.
    • Excellent writing and speakingskills.
    • Excellent communication, effective leadership,and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple tasksindependently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
    • Good negotiation and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to proactively solve problems by seeking out solutions,identifying, prioritizing, and resolving business issues.
    • Strong conflict resolution skills
