- The purpose of thisrole is to supervise the activities done by Treasury Operationsteam and perform all activities relates to Validation andauthorization process.
- Verify deals received/inputfrom/by dealers with trade confirmation (or equivalent) sent byCounterparty. Identify deals not captured by Treasury, orduplicates, or unauthorized deals and report to line manager, inaddition to taking necessary corrective action. Ensures that alltransaction concluded at Treasury unit are reconciled and settledon time without any error as per SoP
- Ensure SWIFTmessages are prepared by sub-ordinates and SWIFT messages arereleased before cut-off times. At EOD, confirm deal numbers of allout-going payments with Dealers. Ensure FX Forward Points areinputted daily in Core Banking system
- Ensure Derivativestransactions are reviewed & settled and rates are updatedfor next Interest accrual period as per SOP. Ensure Month end& beginning activities viz. amortization revaluationprocess is complete as per SoP & report to Finance
- Ensure all transaction confirmations are dispatched in atimely manner. Identify areas/process for improvement, documentthem and submit to line manager with action plan. A proactiveapproach is to be taken in identifying and utilizing internalresources with assistance taken from line manager only whereapplicable. Assist with UAT on process/system changes, or asrequired by internal policy.
- Monitor all incoming emailand ensure all queries are responded same day. Ensure relevantSOP's and checklists are kept updated at all times. Bymeans of selective checks, ensure that activities as documented inStandard Operating Procedures (SOP) and checklists are implementedand followed at all times. Provide timely responses on openAudit/RSA items, and take these to closure within agreed timeframe.
- Reconcile all related suspense/GL accounts in therequired frequency and ensure that all receivables and payables areaccounted for in the reconciliation statement. All counterpartyholdings to be reconciled against CB books on the frequenciesstated in the SOP/checklist. Support any ad-hoc requests from Linemanager or from other areas of the bank.
