    • Managing SalesActivities
    • Manages the development of astrategic account plan for the demand generators in themarket.
    • Manages the property's reactiveand proactive sales efforts.
    • Determines anddevelops marketing communication activities, in conjunction withRegional Marketing Communications.
    • Providescustomer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trendsthat may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceedcustomer expectations.
    • Reviews the StrategicAlignment Review (STAR) report, competitive shopping reports anduses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel s marketposition.
    • Researches competitor s sales teamstrategies to identify ways to grow occupancy and RevPAR andincrease market share.
    • Attends sales strategymeetings to provide input on weekly and overall salesstrategy.
    • Suggests innovative marketing ideasand develops deployment strategies to continue to grow marketshare.
    • Evaluates and supports participation andaccount deployment with Area Sales and Group Sales within the SalesOffice.
    • Serves as the sales contact for theGeneral Manager, property leadership team, Group Sales and AreaSales leaders.
    • Serves as the sales contact forcustomers; serves as the customeradvocate.
    • Serves as hotel authority on salesprocesses and sales contracts.
    • Serves as theproperty sales liaison with Area Sales, Group Sales, RevenueManagement, Event Management, Regional Marketing Communications andother hotel departments asappropriate.
    • Participates in sales calls withmembers of the Sales and Marketing team to acquire new businessand/or close on business.
    • Identifies publicrelations opportunities and coordinates activities to augment theoverall marketing communicationstrategy.
    • Supports the General Manager bycoordinating crisis communications.
    • Executesand supports Marriott s Customer Service Standards and hotel sBrand Standards.
    • Executes and supports theoperational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal,writing contract, customer correspondence).
