    The Director of Sales (DOS) ensures salesresources are deployed effectively to drive revenue through allmarket segments; in line with approved sales & marketingbudgeted revenue. The DOS will manage their own account portfolio,whilst supporting and providing leadership to the rooms'sales team, ensuring sales plans are implemented in accordance withbest practice.

    EssentialResponsibilities &Duties

    • Responsible forachieving rooms and corporate catering salesbudgets
    • Support leadership in the developmentof the sales & marketing plan and budgetpresentation
    • Responsible for the preparation ofthe pre-opening administration duties, including but notexhaustive;
    • Competitor Information on GCC,Ministry, Corporate and Wholesale ratepositioning
    • Task the team to build localbuilding lists of Lusail Marina
    • Createcomprehensive induction plans for onboarding new teammembers
    • Act as a brand ambassador, representingthe hotel by maintaining constant contact with stakeholders,including clients, guests, GSO's andpartners
    • Assist in the planning and developmentof sales and marketing strategies
    • Monitor andevaluates current sales and marketing initiatives and trends withinmarket, sharing market intelligence with commercial team to developstrategic plans across business segments
    • Planand attend trade exhibitions, collection reviews, road shows andsales trips to maximize the brand coverage of Raffles Doha& Fairmont Doha, optimizing the ROI of short, medium andlong term business for both hotels
    • Lead salesteam to build an extensive network of contacts, buildingrelationships to drive high yield business from all market segmentsinto Raffles Doha & Fairmont Doha. Switching key accountsfrom direct competitor sets and positioning both hotels as #1 inprimary comp sets
    • Ensure sales team activitiesare logged in Sales Force accurately, reviewing weekly activityreport with Cluster Director of Sales
    • Assist insetting up systems to monitor achievement of departmental goals andobjectives
    • Support strategic departmentplanning and development
    • Analyse sales andmarketing data from sources including Hoteligence, STR, Rate360,CVENT and consortia partners, modifying sales and marketingstrategies to ensure Raffles Doha & Fairmont Doha securesfair market share within both primary and secondary compsets
    • Oversee team onboarding, orientation andinduction plans
    • Assist in the development ofnew products and services, such as packages and offers to drivesales
    • Attend weekly sales and revenue meetings,contributing to the commercial salesstrategy
    • Attend all compulsory training coursesas directed by T&Cdivision
