    Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar.

    Our client is looking to hire a Infrastructure Systems Administrator (Windows/Linux) who will be responsible for the reliable management, maintenance, and optimization of a major sports venues' IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, Red Hat-based Linux servers, cloud resources, and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platforms such as Nutanix and VMware vSAN.

    This role ensures high availability, security, and performance across all systems by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices in both on-premises and cloud environments.

    The administrator supports business continuity, scalability, and operational excellence, playing a key part in enabling seamless IT operations.

    Responsibilities:

    General System Management

    • Monitor server performance, capacity, and resource utilization using enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, Nagios, SolarWinds).
    • Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery drills, and data integrity checks.
    • Apply security patches, updates, and conduct vulnerability assessments across all infrastructure components.
    • Optimize system configurations for efficiency, including hardware provisioning and virtualization management (e.g., VMware, Nutanix).
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and incident responses.
    Cloud Infrastructure Management

    • Configure and monitor cloud resources (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networking) across public and hybrid environments.
    • Assist in hybrid cloud integrations (e.g., directory synchronization, identityaware proxies) for seamless onpremises to cloud transitions.
    • Perform cost optimization reviews and scaling adjustments for cloud workloads.
    • Support troubleshooting and resolution of cloudspecific issues, collaborating with cloud architects for advanced deployments.
    • Ensure compliance with cloud security and governance policies.
    Windows and Linux Server Operations

    • Administer Windows Server environments (installation, configuration, clustering, failover management).
    • Manage Linux servers, with a strong emphasis on Red Hatbased distributions (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux), including shell scripting, package management (yum/dnf), and performance tuning.
    • Enforce server hardening and firewall rules, ensuring compliance with security benchmarks.
    • Automate server provisioning and maintenance using PowerShell (Windows) and Ansible/Bash (Linux).
    • Conduct root cause analysis and remediation for serverrelated incidents.
    Active Directory Management

    • Manage user and group policies, permissions, and authentication via Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Azure AD hybrid setups.
    • Monitor Active Directory health; perform regular security and compliance audits.
    • Integrate Active Directory with other systems for crossplatform identity management.
    • Implement and maintain least privilege access principles and periodic access reviews.
    • Support directory migrations, upgrades, and federation services as required.
    HCI Environment Management

    • Configure nodes and storage pools for hyperconverged infrastructure clusters.
    • Balance workloads across nodes for optimal performance and resource utilization.
    • Implement failover clustering and test disaster recovery scenarios to ensure high availability.
    • Apply firmware updates to HCI hardware and hypervisor software.
    • Use vendor tools (e.g., Nutanix Prism, VMware vSAN) for ongoing health monitoring and checks.

    Requirements

    Experience & Education

    • 5+ years of handson experience in IT infrastructure administration, with at least 2 years focused on Windows Server and Linux environments.
    • Proven experience managing hybrid IT setups, including public and hybrid cloud environments.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
    Preferred Certifications

    • Microsoft and Linux Certifications (e.g., RHCSA, MCSA).
    • Hyperconverged Infrastructure Certifications (e.g., Nutanix, Dell VxRail).
    • Virtualization Certifications (e.g., VMware VCP).
    • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure).
    Required Skills

    • Indepth proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell automation, and server clustering.
    • Advanced Linux server management skills, with a strong focus on Red Hatbased distributions (installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting).
    • Handson experience with virtualization platforms, especially VMware and Nutanix (deployment, management, and optimization).
    • Experience configuring and managing cloud resources (virtual machines, storage, networking) in public and hybrid cloud environments.
    • Expertise in enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
    • Ability to automate tasks using tools such as Ansible, Bash, and PowerShell.
    • Strong analytical skills to resolve complex infrastructure issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
    • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
