    ExcitingResidencyProgramopportunity for new RN Graduates in North Houston, TX within highlydesired healthcare system. Nights/Day shifts available. 3 12-hourshifts. New Grad Acute Inpatient RNisa year-long program designed to give you hands-on experience tohelp establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills.Start dates in February andMarch.
    • Advancedclinical training in a specialtyarea.
    • Monthly educationalsessions.
    • Preceptorship trainingwith a facilitypreceptor.
    • Measurement andevaluation of skills through hands-onsimulations.
    • Mentoring fromexperienced nurse leaders.
    • Workingcollaboratively on an evidence-based practice project.Assesspatient condition during admission and during each shift asscheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patientstatus.
    • Perform procedures,monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medicalprovider(s). Document the administration of care in the patientmedical record in a timely and thoroughmanner.
    • Perform the administrationof prescribed medications. Monitor patient for therapeuticresponse. Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the eventof an unintended response tomedication.
    • Perform exceptional careby responding promptly to patient requests. Strive to anticipatepatient needs and resolve themproactively.
    • Teach patients,families and caregivers about patient medical condition, patientstatus, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, andfollow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology toensure completeunderstanding.


    Requirements

    • BasicCardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days ofemployment
    • Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport (ACLS) obtained within 1 year ofemployment
    • Other Certificationsmaybe required duringemployment
    • Associate or Bachelor sdegree inNursing
    • Registered NurseLicense or Graduate Nurse in the State (ableto start in TX with another state license or compact but they needto get a TX license within 4 weeks of them being hired)
    • No previousexperience needed
    • Sometravel maybe needed fortraining

    AdditionalNotes:
    • Theprogram does last for 1 year with classroom training up to 9 weeks,preceptorship up to 13 weeks, and weekly meetings with our clinicalsupport staff for the remainder of theirprogram.
    • Theycan most definitely continue their employment with HCA after the 1year (they are just no longer under a commitment at that time), andthey are able to transfer units/ facilities at that time if theychoose.

    GeneralComments

    SalaryRange:($33.50and Up) * to be considered for a higher rate, candidates need tohave prior experience as ananLVN, RN (LTAC, HOME HEALTH, ETC) as long as the candidate does nothave acute careexperience.

    Signon: Up to $10k (Paid within 30 days of the start date,1st or second paycheck)

    Relocation:Up to $5k (Paid within 30 days of the start date,1st or second paycheck)

    • ShiftDifferentials: $4 for Nights and$2 forWeekends
