About the lab
The SWITCHLaboratory is one of the leading laboratories in humandisease-related protein It is an interdisciplinary workplace, bringing together about 25 researchers from different backgrounds, such as bioinformatics, biophysics, and cell SWITCH has a uniqueplatform of technologies for studying protein aggregation, including biophysical, ultrastructural, and cell biological
Your job
Do you want tohelp find out what is really going on in Alzheimer's disease? Whydoes the disease sweep through the brain in such a determinedmanner? Why do amyloid aggregates form in certain brain regions andnot others? Why are some brain regions devastated and othersspared?
In our previous work, we haveidentified a new mode of amyloid interactions based on localsequence similarity to aggregation-prone regions and the NationalInstitute on Aging has just granted us a 5-year project toinvestigate the interaction of amyloid-beta and tau with otherbrain region-specific
