- 5+ years experience in customer email marketing,preferably at an enterprise SaaS technology company.
- Cutting–edge email marketing best practices, along withstrong copywriting and copy editing skills.
- Expertise inMarketo for marketing automation, both in audience segmentation(smartlists) and in the use of email templates, Marketo modules,and dynamic content.
- Strong internal communication andcross-functional coordination skills.
- Extremelydetail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple projects tomeet deadlines.
- Experience driving up-sell andcross-sell programs from conception throughimplementation.

An overview of this roleGitLab has high-performing email marketing programs designed todrive prospects to MQL, but we have a big, untapped opportunity toextend lifecycle campaigns to drive revenue growth from existingcustomers.
This marketer will start by mapping our ideal customerjourneys post-acquisition: from ramp, to license and departmentexpansion, to SKU upsell. They will work with Analytics to definecampaign success metrics and create new lifecycle measurementcapabilities.They will segment our customer base according totheir stage in these journeys, along with other account signalslike technographic, firmographic, or intent.
They will then createbespoke email marketing campaigns targeted to these segments todrive revenue expansion and prevent churn.Their tight coordinationwith Customer Success, Product Marketing, DevRel, and Sales willensure we deploy compelling, clear, and consistent messages tocustomers – regardless of the team executing.
