    The Chief AGE Mechanic oversees and trains AGE technicians, conducts inspections, maintenance, servicing, and storage of assigned AGE equipment, ensuring compliance with technical data and quality management systems. This role involves communicating with the AGE Superintendent to meet work priorities effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and train AGE mechanics, conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs on assigned AGE assets.
    • Maintain parts, tools, and supplies for necessary work on assets.
    • Prepare equipment for exercises or deployments.
    • Respond to inquiries regarding equipment storage and status.
    • Utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot systems and components.
    • Complete documentation and update records accordingly.
    • Implement quality standards and provide feedback to employees.
    • Orient new personnel, plan work assignments, and conduct on-the-job training.
    • Inspect and prepare assets for shipment.
    • Perform maintenance on assets and ensure mission capability.
    • Submit reports and technical order changes as necessary.
    • Operate material handling equipment.
    • Inspect hazardous materials and coordinate disposal.
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities.
    • Attend staff meetings and prepare performance reports.
    • Travel and perform other assigned duties.
    • Work in a maintenance shop or warehouse environment.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Knowledge of computer systems and maintenance procedures.
    • Supervisory skills and quality assurance expertise.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Experience in aircraft ground support equipment maintenance.
    • Understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
    • Ability to handle physical demands and travel.
    • U.S. Citizenship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Training as an aircraft ground support equipment technician.
    • USAF AGE 'RED X Certified' inspector training.
