he IMS SME will lead on all IMS matters anduse of the system from goods receipt through maintenance to issueof parts. They will provide effective utilisation of subject matterknowledge and experience, ensure efficient working of the IMSsystem and be able to support the delivery of maintenance taskingand verification at strategic and tactical levels This ensures themaximisation of operational efficiency and minimisation of costs.

The post holder should havea strong quantitative and analytical skills/experience, with leanmanagement principles and be an effective, credible communicatorwith good interpersonal skills. They will require good Typhoonproduct knowledge and a good understanding of the relationship withinterfacing/contributory areas, and be able to analyse andinterpret data with a high level of attention to detail.

CoreActivity

• Ensuring that the IMS systemand the data it holds is ready and available for use when required.
• Assisting the fleet planners in approving thetactical fleet plan, and the fleet maintenance plan, analyse themaintenance requirements for the Typhoon aircraft or components,highlight and, where practical, resolve any issues and ensure thetimely creation of the maintenance Statement of Work for theTyphoon aircraft and its components
• Workingwith Fleet planning, Demand Management, Part 145 organisation,Technical services, Airworthiness records in order to deliver therequired standards of Continuing airworthiness and contractdelivery
• Reviewing and reporting on theeffectiveness of maintenance tasks performance in the Forward andDepth environments escalating any issues. Review and report on theeffectiveness of the SoW, Pre-input and Post-output review meeting(PIRM & PORM) processes, maintenance task performance andadditional/emergent work requirements across all responsiblemaintenance locations, both On and Off aircraft.

KeyAccountabilities

• Performance indicators –Ensure the effective provision of maintenance tasking andverification activities by meeting delivery targets and reportingany impact on continuing airworthiness. Understand how individualactions contribute to overall delivery performance
• Completion of activities – Ensureall maintenance tasking and verification activities areappropriately documented and airworthiness records are maintainedon the relevant systems (IT/paper based). Compile requiredreporting, identify any issues and escalate as appropriate
• Procedure/standards – Comply withthe CAME, its associated procedures and standards. Identify andpropose changes
• Safety Management System– Ensure human factors and error management philosophiesare applied to all maintenance tasking and verification activities.Understand the risks associated with maintenance tasking andverification and the means by which they are mitigated and managed
• Management System Assurance – Ensuremaintenance tasking and verification activities are compliant withthe QAF Governance and Assurance framework, including supportingprocess confirmations and independent assurance audits. Support theresponse to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner.Support the implementation of identified improvements to overcomeany non-compliance and monitor effectiveness
