    • Prepares and recordsasset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling andanalyzing account information.
    • Maintains andbalances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, andreconciling transactions and resolvingdiscrepancies.
    • Maintains general ledger bytransferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, andreconciling entries.
    • Summarizes financialstatus by collecting information and preparing balance sheet,profit and loss, and other statements.
    • Producespayroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks,verifying finished product.
    • Completes externalaudit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts andproviding information for auditors.
    • Avoidslegal challenges by complying with legalrequirements.
    • Secures financial information bycompleting d..atabase backups.
    • Protectsorganization's value by keeping informationconfidential.
