- To demonstrate capability inPhysiotherapy Assistant skills
- To followinstructions of the Physiotherapist to treat patients following adesignated treatment plan utilizing basic physiotherapy techniquesuch as assisting a patient to walk with an appropriate aid asrequired.
- To assist the Physiotherapist withindividual and group treatments/exercise.
- To beable to recognize change in the condition of a patient withguidance from Physiotherapists and to watch the patient response toany treatment undertaken.
- To monitor thereaction of patients to specific physiotherapy techniquesundertaken.
- To manage clinical risk within owncaseload including observing patients in all situations applicableto physiotherapy, ensuring safety and securityconstantly.
- To comply continuously with therequirements of the Health and Safety Regulations and to takeresponsibility for the health, safety and welfare of others in theworking environment.
- To demonstrate physicalability to carry out physiotherapy interventions includingtherapeutic handling and exercise programs.
- Todemonstrate dexterity and co-ordination for physiotherapy treatmentof patients.
- To be able to cope withoccasional, potentially stressful, upsetting or emotionalsituations in an empathetic manner.
- Maintain aproficient standard of ethical and professional behavior whentreating and dealing with athletes /patients
