- Review and advise on evolving social regulations, legislation andframeworks to inform Mott MacDonald's socialresponsibility and social value policy and undertake socialgovernance reviews where necessary
- Identify and adviseon the adoption of social accountability & governancerelated international certifications and standards
- Keepabreast of the ongoing trends, frameworks, data reportingrequirements and standards with regard to social accountability& governance
- Enable compliance with existing andemerging requirements for social accountability &governance Enterprise Governance
- Develop an excellentunderstanding of Mott MacDonald Business Management Systems (BMS)
- Lead, develop and champion the social accountability& governance processes within Mott MacDonald and its valuechain
- Support the development and implementation ofcorporate social goals and outcomes
- Identifyenterprise-level social parameters and indicators that need to bemonitored and recorded to meet national and internationaldisclosure requirements for Mott MacDonald entities
- Analyse and substantiate global enterprise social data in order togenerate internal & external reports, data visualisationand dashboards that demonstrate social performance across theorganisation Project Governance
- Develop and support theimplementation of the social requirements, guidelines, andprocedures for internal Mott MacDonald bid management, projectmanagement and project delivery processes, aligned to applicableinternational social accountability & governance standards
- Identify project-level social parameters and indicatorsthat need to be monitored and recorded by projects
- Monitor and review the implementation of the existing in-housetools (i.e. Social Transformation Model, Social Value DeliveryFramework, and others) and assess the extent to which theprojects' social commitments are delivered
- Work with Mott MacDonald social practitioners and technology teamsto develop additional tools, as needed, to measure and capture thesocial measures on our projects
- Contribute to thedevelopment of social training materials that help buildcapabilities of Project Sustainability Consultants (PSCs), enablingthem to support project teams in managing social risks,opportunities and impacts on our communities through the projects
- Work with our regions to raise awareness with regard tosocial commitments and to achieve buy in from our bid teams andproject delivery teams
- Assist in establishing processesand tools to enable the measurement and reporting of the socialaspects and community investment through our projects Candidatespecifications:
- Bachelor's Degree levelqualification is preferable in a discipline related to socialscience, social management, social sustainability, or a similardiscipline
- Professional membership with recognisedorganisations would be advantageous
- Expertise in asimilar role, with proven record of successfully developing andimplementing organisation-wide strategies, policies and managementsystems for large global organisations in accordance with varioussocial standards such as Social Responsibility (ISO26000), SocialAccountability Standard (SA8000), British Standard on Social Value(BS8950) and other similar international standards
- International and national legislation, regulations &associated requirements
- International best practicestandards and guidelines (e.g. Equator Principles, InternationalFinance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards, World Bank Group(WBG) Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Guidelines)
- Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) frameworks,industry best practices and emerging trends
- Socialstandards, social procurement and social governance best practiceacross Mott MacDonald's core operating territories

Mott MacDonald is looking for a SocialAccountability & Governance Consultant to join the Doha,Qatar team; reporting to the Group Environmental Management System(EMS) Manager.
As the Social Accountability & GovernanceConsultant, you will contribute to the development and delivery ofthe Mott MacDonald social responsibility and social value policy.
Your main responsibility will be to carry out policyhorizon-scanning and to embed social accountability &governance principles into our business management systems (BMS)and business operations across all the regions where Mott MacDonaldoperates.
You will help develop and execute social strategies forkey business priorities through engagement with cross functionalcolleagues in a global, matrixed organisation.
Committed andpassionate about making a difference and delivering positive andinclusive outcomes, you will build strategic relationships withinternal stakeholders and help establish the project governancerequired to maximise our positive impact on the communities.
