    Requirements The Center for International andRegional Studies (CIRS) at GU-Q is a premier research institutedevoted to the academic study of regional and international issues.

    Reporting to the Assistant Director of CIRS Operations and ResearchSupport, the position will support the Center in planning andexecuting CIRS research projects and activities, communicating withfaculty and scholars and maintaining records related to CIRSresearch projects.

    As this position is based in Doha, Qatar andoffers no relocation assistance, GU-Q is looking for locally basedcandidates only.

    This is a temporary, full-time and non-sponsoredposition that requires all applicants to already have the necessarysponsorship to live and work in Qatar.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Work closely with the Assistant Director to ensure thesuccessful planning and execution of CIRS research projects andactivities.
    • Maintain regular communication with facultyand scholars on details related to their CIRS research projects
    • Create and maintain detailed and organized records,checklists, and timelines related to CIRS research projects. KeyActivities
    • Collaborate with CIRS team members indeveloping plans, identifying key milestones, and outliningdeliverables.
    • Coordinate regular project reviewsessions, providing updates on status, and facilitating discussionson adjustments or enhancements.
    • Address challenges incollaboration with the CIRS team, faculty, and scholars to ensuresmooth project progression.
    • Support logisticscoordination for CIRS research projects, including schedulingmeetings, managing travel plans, and overseeing operationalaspects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams toachieve project objectives and resolve challenges.
    • Actas a liaison between research project stakeholders, ensuringclarity and cohesion in all related communications.
    • Ensure accuracy, currency, and accessibility of all documentationfor reference and reporting purposes.
    • Provide additionalprogrammatic support as required. Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
    • 3 + yearsof relevant experience, preferably in project management or projectcoordination.
    • Prior experience in events management is aplus.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and timemanagement skills.
    • Excellent communication andinterpersonal abilities.
    • Advanced English-speakingskills.
    • Proficient in record-keeping and documentation.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in afast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changingpriorities and requirements.
    • Previous experience workingwithin higher education is preferred
