• Leadsdevelopment and implementation of Industrial Hygiene Program (IHP),ensuring compliance with relevant occupational health andindustrial hygiene standards, government laws and internationallyrecognized standards.
• Conducts Health Risk Assessment(HRA) to assess exposure to the work force as part of the IHP.Participates in meetings with the various department teams topresent findings related to the Health Risk Assessment (HRA) andIndustrial Hygiene Program and communicate risk priorities andeffective solutions.
• Develops the Annual ExposureAssessment Strategy (EAS) based on HRA outcomes, identifiesequipment and consumables required, organise quotes and preparesdocumentation to obtain items to support the program.
• Designs and evaluates monitoring strategies for personal exposureassessment as part of the EAS in onshore, offshore and offsiteslocations, to determine (qualitative) and quantify exposure riskfor different Similar Exposure Groups (SEGs). Key JobAccountabilities - II
• Evaluates workplace health issues,raised by operations and projects departments, and recommendscontrol measures to prevent or minimize health risks and implementsmonitoring and control strategies for unacceptable exposures.

• Ensures implementation of IHP in onshore, offshore and offsitesfacilities, conducts audit programs to identify gaps in conformanceto the IHP and to determine level of compliance.
• Establishes engineering and non-engineering control measures (workpractices and/or personal protective equipment) as applicable, toreduce unacceptable exposure risk and verify/ evaluate thesuitability of selected controls.
• Develops and deliversapplicable workplace health protection awareness and trainingincluding exposure prevention, hazard communications, hearingconservation, heat stress management, radiation protection,respiratory protection, ergonomics and others as directed by theHead of Industrial Hygiene. Develops and implements IH trainingprograms and competency assessment for Qatari National NDPprograms. Key Job Accountabilities - III
• Participates inshutdown planning process to ensure that adequate resources areavailable during shutdown relative to support staff, training, PPE,monitoring equipment. Develops and support the implementation ofshutdown specific EAS and produces reports and presentations tosupport the lessons learned process.
• Identifies processchange and determines improvement opportunities, develops keyactivities plans and key process indicators to support continuousimprovement initiatives in the IH section and H&Sdepartment areas. Leads the development and review of internal andexternal industrial hygiene procedures in accordance with QGMS andprovide consultation to the key stakeholders.
• Reviewsall new chemicals (both routine and non-routine) and conductssafety assessment to determine suitability for use on site.

• Bachelor'sdegree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical/Environmental Engineering,Chemistry, or Environmental Health Sciences (with IndustrialHygiene or Toxicology courses).
• Professional designationas an Industrial Hygienist (CIH, ROH, COH) and other additionalprofessional safety certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CSP,CRSP, CMIOSH). Knowledge and/or Experience - I
• 10years' experience in industrial hygiene/OccupationalHealth and Safety including at least 5 years in the oil and gasindustry, or petrochemicals/manufacturingsetting.
