The IT Applications Senior Officer will beresponsible for managing all the projects and applications underhis portfolio thru the SDLC life cycle, current and futureprojects, and managing a team of Applications Analyst anddevelopers being responsible of the delivery of all the projectsand create the IT solutions to support all business units andbusiness users, including supporting the production systems andmaintenance.
The role will act as a single-point-of-contact for agiven application(s) and includes technology-business liaisonresponsibilities, limited project/initiative management &governance, and strategic roadmap planning.
The position demandsstrong attention to the daily details of a variety of corporatesystem initiatives including technical support, systemenhancements, and strategic planning.
The candidate must havedemonstrated knowledge and experience in technology support,program/product/project management and is confident running andparticipating in meetings with senior level employees, 3rd partyvendors, and technical teams.
Must demonstrate the ability tooperate autonomously, taking ownership of assigned systems withminimal direct oversight.Daily requirements also include craftingand socializing insightful professional communication materials tobring visibility into system activities and developments; producinghigh quality reports consumed by executives; conducting ad-hoc dataanalysis; and directing administrative coordination.
Insuranceexperience is Mandatory.Bachelor Degree in IT or IT related field8minimum years' experience in developing softwareapplications, preferably, out of which at least 4 years withinsurance applications.
Minimum of 5 years deep and relevant productdevelopment experience is required.Minimum of 5 years ofdemonstrated experience in a Technical Leadership role isrequiredMinimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in aManagerial role of a technical team is requireExperience withdatabase managementExcellent Project management skills, PMP is aplusExcellent Coding and programming skills Excellent technicalskills.
Expertise in troubleshooting viruses and other computerproblems.The ability to remain up-to-date with the latest softwaredevelopments.
