    Job Summary

    The Receptionist is responsible for providing attentive courteousand efficient service to all guests during checkin throughout theirstay and at checkout while maximizing room revenue andoccupancy.

    Education &Experience

    • College course work in related field helpful.
    • Experience in a hotel or a related fieldpreferred.
    • High School diploma or equivalentrequired.
    • Computer experiencerequired.
    • Customer Services experiencepreferred.

    PhysicalRequirements

    • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
    • Light work Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or upto 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift carry pushpull or otherwise move objects.
    • Ability tostand during entireshift.

    GeneralRequirements

    • Preferable female.
    • Maintain a warm andfriendly demeanor at all times.
    • Must be ableto effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levelof employees and guests in an attentive friendly courteous andservice oriented manner.
    • Must be effective atlistening to understanding and clarifying concerns raised byemployees and guests.
    • Must be able tomultitask and prioritize departmental functions to meetdeadlines.
    • Approach all encounters with guestsand employees in an attentive friendly courteous andserviceoriented manner.
    • Attend all hotelrequired meetings and trainings.
    • Maintainregular attendance in compliance with Wyndham Hotels &Resorts Standards as required by scheduling which will varyaccording to the needs of the hotel.
    • Maintainhigh standards of personal appearance and grooming which includeswearing the proper uniform and nametag.
    • Complywith Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Standards and regulations toencourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
    • Maximize efforts towards productivity identify problem areas andassist in implementing solutions.
    • Must beeffective in handling problems including anticipating preventingidentifying and solving problems as necessary.
    • Must be able to understand and apply complex information data various sources to meet appropriateobjectives.
    • Must be able to crosstrain inother hotel related areas.
    • Must be able tomaintain confidentiality of information.
    • Mustbe able to show initiative including anticipating guest oroperational needs.
    • Perform other duties asrequested bymanagement.

    FundamentalRequirements

    • Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk inaccordance with Wyndham standards.
    • Maintainproper operation of the PBX console and ensure that all hotelstandards are met (if applicable).
    • Answerguest inquires about hotel services facilities and hours ofoperation in a timelymanner.
    • Ensure loggingand delivery of packages mail and messages to guests and meetingrooms.
    • Review FrontOffice log and Trace Filedaily.
    • Answer inquiresfrom guests regarding restaurants transportation entertainmentetc.
    • Follow all cash handling and creditpolicies.
    • Be aware of all rates packages andspecial promotions as listed in the Red Book.
    • Be familiar with all inhouse groups.
    • Be awareof closed out and restricted dates.
    • Obtain allnecessary information when taking room reservations and follow theratequoting scenario.
    • Befamiliar with hospitality terminology.
    • Haveknowledge of emergency procedures and assist asneeded.
    • Handle checkins and checkouts in afriendly efficient and courteousmanner.
    • Use proper twowayradio etiquette at all times when communicating with otheremployees.
    • Fullycomprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the FrontDesk computer system.
    • Beable to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shiftchecklist in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Beable to complete a bucket check room rate verification report andhousekeeping report.
    • Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shiftaccording to hotel standards.
    • Maintain andmarket promotions and guestprograms.
    • Maintain aclean work area.
    • Assist guests with safedepositboxes.
