    Name of the Job Opening Senior Architect Employer Name Power International Holding Qatar Job Location Doha, Qatar Job Description Job Summary Senior architects are Architects with extensive industry experience.

    Oversees the company's new construction projects. As the senior architect, they mentor other Architects, interpret client briefs, and review contracts and designs. develop and interpret a range of structural designs and also act as managers, and advisors. They typically work in offices and onsite, ensuring the cohesion of their team, and overall project success. Job Responsibilities 1 Responsible for developing customers and nurturing professional relationship. Determines goals and ultimately responsible for delivering final schematics and construction documents to building contractors. Utilizes architects and drafters to research building codes, makes schematic calculations and draft technical materials.

    Understands the project brief and client requirements and reviews the contract documents, project specifications, design drawings & BOQ, identifies the architectural requirements of the project and contributes in the feasibility study of the project with the design manager, architects and other professional parties.

    Reviews the concept design and ensures compliance with the client requirements, budget and all as per time schedule.

    Contributes in obtaining on time the approval of client on the concept design, managing in the project design as directed by the design manager and IMS procedure.

    Ensures the deliverables on time for all design stages such as concept, schematic, detailed design and construction documents and liaises with estimation department that design deliverables are within the budget.

    Set up architectural requirements of the codes, local authorities, safety standards, urban planning, environment requirement and others to be implemented in the formal agreements/contracts with consultants, client representative , project management organization and other external bodies.

    Contributes in preparation and architectural specification for the project, manages the development of architectural specification by the Architect of Record and ensures compliance with the client requirements, budget and the international standards, ensures technical compliance of the specified material and to contribute in the value engineering of the specified material to ensure the best values with lowest cost.

    Job Responsibilities 2 Liaises with the planner to prepare weekly reports on the design deliverables; submit weekly report on the constraint of design development.

    Submits reports on time to obtain authority's permissions and liaises with design manager to provide recovery plan in case of late progress.

    Provides daily documentation and written record as to the progress, problems, solutions, inspections, change orders, construction changes, meeting, shop drawings, product and other items that reflect the progress of the work.

    To provide technical support during the construction stage through RFI responses, clarifications within the period defined in the time schedule/contract.

    Conducts value engineering review of the drawings to ensure the best details and construction methodology with the least cost and time and to follow up on the change orders and proceed with the required process.

    Establishes the design criteria with the Architect of record developed in coordination with structural engineer, MEP engineer, interior designer and end user operation requirements.

    Reviews the design deliverables in all stages such as concept, schematic, detailed design and IFC and ensures compliance with the client requirements, time schedules, budget and with the authorities regulations.

    Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team of architects, interior designers, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and quantity surveyors to deliver an integrated and coordinated design to the client.

    Ensure to review the design deliverables in all stages (concept, schematic, Detailed design and IFC) and ensure compliance with the client requirements.

    Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge & Skills

    • Display a high level of architectural knowledge.
    • Knowledge of building codes and zoning ordinances.
    • Thorough knowledge of local code requirements with the ability to implement.
    • Creative thinking ability and aesthetic sensitivity
    • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
