    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    Reporting to the show runner and producers, the Assistant Producer will work across a range of live and prerecorded programs. He/she will be responsible for program research, identifying contributors, finding onscreen talent and guests, helping the producer make prerecorded video play in, overseeing all aspects of the studio and location filming, directing or self-shooting prerecorded inserts, script writing and transcribing for edits, booking and postproduction logistics.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Working closely with on screen talent, guest and experts.
    • Support the Show runner, producers and story producers with the coordination, booking and scheduling of production and post production.
    • Research, writing, pitching and disseminate ideas for project-related topics and elements.
    • Assist with travel, transportation and logistical arrangement for producers, crews and talent as needed.
    • Assist with general administrative duties including cash flow and petty cash.
    • Logging, transcribing and organization of scripts, running orders, post production, sound mixing, grading and MCR.
    • Fact finding and checking of the editorial content.
    • Finding and sourcing still and moving images and sound.
    • Assist in securing shooting releases for studios and locations.
    • Obtaining release form from on screen talent, experts and contributors.
    • Keeping and organizing associated data for future use.
    • Assist with location-based filming and production requirements.
    • Preparing and disturbing meeting notes regarding the production.
    • Ensure all video and graphic assets are coordinated and filed for use in post.
    • Able to communicate clearly with MCR and transmission staff.
