    • Solicit new and existing accountsto meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation,outside sales calls, site inspections and writtencommunication
    • Meet or exceed personal salessolicitation call goals based on a minimum of 5 daily appointmentscovering existing and prospectiveaccounts
    • Responsible for administration of allsupport services including but not limited to responding to emailsand correspondence, input and maintenance ofdatabases
    • Maintains a high profile within tradeand professional associates dealing with their marketarea/segment(s)
    • Interacts with individualsoutside the hotel within their sales area including, but notlimited to clients, local hotel associations and other members ofthe local community
    • Solicit corporate,consortia and leisure accounts directly and jointly with othersthrough the preparation, execution and completion of ActionPlans
    • Implements all Sales Action Plans relatedto their sales area as outlined in the Revenue/BusinessPlan
    • Within established parameters, quote andnegotiate prices with customer representatives confirmingreservations by letter and drawing up contracts; sign for the hoteland obtain customer signature to close thetransaction
    • Upon contracting accounts, thisposition will be responsible for ongoing account management withcontracted accounts and setting of production targets on aquarterly basis
    • Achieve established room nightand revenue goals as outlined in the agreed upon incentive andannual business plan
    • When appropriate, and withagreement with the EAM – Sales and Marketing, to attendmajor travel functions (trade shows, associations) that dealspecifically with their marketingresponsibility
    • Plans sales trips, under thedirect approval of the EAM – Sales and Marketing, tomajor marketing areas, calling on accounts within their specificmarketing area
    • As directed, compile and inputmarket intelligence information to the Sales Information Managementsystem
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of markettrends, competition and customers
    • Activelypromote and produce sales leads for other sister hotels and for inhouse sales staff
    • Provides feedback to theDOS/DOSM/DOR on changing conditions, including trends in thecompetition, as a result of direct solicitation, telephone anddirect mail, in their market areas.
    • Arrange FAMand Site inspection trips to hotels by major clients andaccompanies clients
    • Meets deadlines forassigned tasks
    • Establishes and maintain fileson major active accounts within their marketingarea/segment(s)
    • Establishes and maintainseffective employee relations
    • Performs relatedduties and special projects asassigned
    • Maintains punctuality and goodtimekeeping and appearance
    • Trains and developssales executives and sales coordinator and staff reporting to themin designated sales and marketingareas
    • Preparation and completion of timesheets,Rota's, holiday schedules, in line with business needs,as and when required
    • Preparation and completionof Purchase Orders as and whenrequired
    • Undertake and complete any specialprojects, tasks or other reasonable request by your department headand/or Hotel Management
    • Prepare correspondenceto customers, internal booking reports and filemaintenance
    • Participate in daily RevMaxmeeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-relatedmeetings as required
    • Work with otherdepartments within the hotel to provide quality service tocustomers
