    JOB PURPOSE

    • HSE Professionalto act as a trusted advisor working crossfunctionally in thecountry (business unit) as a critical partner with a decisionmakingability to provide recommendations with appropriate judgement onHSE issues.
    • HSE leader to spearhead theimplementation of HSE system and safe work practices with the aimto foster a safe and healthy working environment inspire employeespromote a culture of safety trust caring; and improve environmentalstewardship.
    • To set the bar high on safety bybeing an influencer and catalyst for change and by buildingtrustworthy relationships with internal and externalstakeholders

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    TECHNICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Regulatoryand Compliance Management

    • Lead theinterpretation and compliance with local HSE laws and regulationsapplicable to the country and to the operations through maintenanceof legal register.
    • Apply legal and ethicalstandards to HSE practice ensuring the intent of the law and theHSE principles are applied.

    HSE RiskManagement

    • Lead the developmentimplementation and maintenance of HSE risk assessments and jobsafety analysis (JSA) for normal operations andemergencies.

    IncidentManagement

    • Lead the implementation ofincident management system inclusive of accurate and timelyreporting thorough investigation of incidents and followthroughcompletion of actions through the use of IndustrySafe incident& hazard reporting software andsystem.

    Culture of Safety and CaringWelfare and Wellbeing

    • Foster apositive culture of safety and caring based on trust and of visibleleadership.
    • Work closely with country/plantmanagement in ensuring welfare facilities are in place.
    • Lead initiatives to promote and protectemployee wellbeing including effective management of mentalhealth.

    • Support country management inthe execution of company strategy and countryspecificobjectives
    • Implement policies and proceduresand initiatives roll out by CorporateHSE.

    Leadership andManagement

    • Demonstrate visible safetyleadership by leading care conversations at the plant supportingthe Supervisors in their HSE challenges and gathering feedback fromthe workers to help them do their jobsafely.
    • Inspire and motivate the HSE team andother stakeholders to meet HSEobjectives.
    • Display optimism perseveranceempathy and personal resilience in every worksituation.
    • Promote teamwork to boost teammorale and encourage shared responsibility onsafety.
    • Drive highimpact HSE initiativeslocally.
    • Establish a Safety Engagement Teamcomprise of workers to supportinitiatives
    HSE Management System
    • Lead the implementation of asystems approach to health safety and environment in accordancewith the International Standards local HSE regulations and bestpractices.
    Facility and TravelSecurity Management System
    • SupportField Services Team and international business travellers throughthe implementation of the Travel Security ManagementSystem.
    • Lead the implementation of the localFacility Security Management System in coordination with otherfunctions (i.e. HR Administration IT etc.) to ensure prevention ofsecurityrelated risks.
    Trainingand Development
    • Develop conduct andimplement HSE training programs for all employees includingassessment of its effectiveness
    Measurement and evaluation of HSE performance
    • Conduct monitoring and measurementof HSE performance and data analysis to continuallyimprove.
    • Prepare monthly HSE statisticalreports and data analysis.

    Audits andInspections

    • Conduct internal HSEaudits and regular siteinspections.
    • Communicate findings and actionplans to local management and CorporateHSE
    • Coordinate external thirdparty HSE auditsand inspections.
    SPAN OFCommunication
    • Internal:Influence/Leadership: Communicate engage with andinfluence line and middle management supervisors and workers tomitigate risk and optimize worker health andsafety.
    • External: Localauthorities such as Ministry of Labor or Environmental Agency;Regulatory authority such as OSHA OSHAD; Fire Brigade MunicipalityThird Party Safety Specialists Training Providers Accreditation andCertification Bodiesetc.

    Job relevantinformation (BOUNDARIES & DECISIONMAKINGAUTHORITY)

    • Stops work ifunsafe; Works under general direction of Geomarket Manager andGlobal VP HSE with personal responsibility for own outputs;Determines when issues should be escalated to a higherlevel

    Skills

    RequiredQualifications:

    • Bachelorsdegree in occupational health & safety EnvironmentalScience Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or relatedfield

    Required HSECertifications:

    • NEBOSHInternational General Certificate in OHS (mandatory)
    • ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 Auditor(Lead Auditorpreferred)

    PreferredExperience and ProfessionalMembership

    • Minimum of 7years experience in HSE with at least 2 years of experience in amanufacturing industry
    • Professional Membershipsis a plus (NEBOSH IOSH BCSPetc.)

    • Strong knowledge ofHSE regulations and policies International Standards and bestpractices as they relate to manufacturingindustry.
    • Performs a range of HSE activitiesworking with diverse cultures and changing businessenvironments.

    • Personalplanning and organizational skills to meet work/projectdeadlines.
    • Good oral and written communicationskills.
