    The position holder is responsible forproviding Financial Analysis to ensure optimal allocation ofresources, providing insightful information and assisting thedepartment to follow Group accounting policies as appropriate.

    KeyAccountabilites

    • Assist develop advanced financial modelsand conduct analysis using a broad range of quantitative tools andtechniques (trend analyses on past financial and operationalperformance, root cause analyses, analysis of profitabilitydrivers, scenario modelling for future options, unit-costbenchmarking, etc.)
    • Assist establish corporate anddepartment financial goals and work with departments to buildbudgets and forecasts meeting these targets
    • Analyseactuals, forecasts, and budgets and prepare analyses for uppermanagement of Division and corporate performance against benchmarks
    • Analyse capital spending projects and makerecommendations for approval, rejection, or rework
    • Facilitate one or more corporate wide projects such as cash flowmodelling, long-term strategic plan models, or cost cuttinginitiatives
    • Coordinate development of business cases andscenario models to drive better business decisions
    • Support developing Business Cases justifying large capitalprojects, explaining financial performance, or the financialforecast
    • Meet weekly with senior management as requiredto discuss capital or headcount needs and help divisions obtainresources.
    • Create reports and presentations for seniormanagement
    • Analyse and interpret financial data for usein management reviews and decisions
    • Prepare quantitativeregression analysis and statistical analysis of revenue databasesand airline industry databases to analyse revenue performance andprovide recommendations to improve revenue;
    • Analysemonthly revenue performance by route, channel, PoS
    • Conduct ad hoc revenue analysis for senior management
    • Assist develop and maintain a competitive intelligence frameworkfor benchmarking against regional rivals and mature carriers.
    • Maintain a financial best practices platform, both,industry-specific and cross industries. Management &Leadership
    • Establish the department or teams objectivesand priorities to align with and support business objectives.
    • Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives,plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes ifneeded.
    • Oversee and supervise employees. Direct dailyactivities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a highstandard of service delivery. Development
    • Takeresponsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth ofexpertise.
    • Train and develop other employees, for propersuccession planning and risk management.
    • Assist in theresponse to any emergency or a major operational disruptionaffecting
    • Train Qatari staff in the duties above.
    • Perform other department duties related to his/herposition as directed by the Senior Manager Operational Safety
    • Ensure full awareness of work health and safetyrequirements and expectations in order to minimise health andsafety risks for self and colleagues.
    • Ensure complianceto all relevant safety, security, quality and environmentalmanagement policies, procedures and controls across the operationto guarantee employee safety, security, legislative compliance,delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmentalattitude
    • Take a direct and personal interest in reportedinjuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure thatappropriate reporting, investigation and response is beingachieved.
