- Meetwith decision makers, systems owners, and end users to definebusiness, financial, and operations requirements and systems goalsand identify and resolve systems issues.
- Lead designsessions in prototyping new systems to enhance business processes,operations, and information process flow.
- Review andanalyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems anddevelop strategies for improving or further leveraging thesesystems.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters ofsystems analysis in order to define outcome criteria andmeasure-taking actions. Acquisition & Deployment
- Collaborate in planning, designing, developing, and deploying newapplications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to justifyrecommendations and to support purchasing efforts. OperationalManagement
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations,or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areasin operating systems across the organization.
- Createsystem design proposals.
- Perform cost-benefit andreturn-on-investment analyses for proposed systems to aidmanagement in implementing decisions.
- Ensurecompatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, andcharts to provide direction to system programmers.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews,for modified and new systems and other post-implementation support.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for allmodified and new systems.
- Provide guidance and/orinstruction to junior staff members. Position Requirements
- Knowledge & Experience
- Provenexperience in overseeing the design, development, andimplementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, orproducts.
- Extensive practical knowledge in importingdata for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts.
- Proven experience in the operation and analysisof database hardware, software, and standards, as well as dataretrieval methodologies
- Demonstrated project managementskills.
- Excellent understanding of theorganization's goals and objectives.
- Excellentanalytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Bachelor's degree and 8 yearsof Business Analysis experience (county government preferred)
- Proven experience as a Customs Compliance Analyst(minimum of 3 years).
- In-depth knowledge of customsregulations, tariff codes, and international trade compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with customs-related software and systems
