    The role Reports to Group Chairman directly.

    Sona Group has 10 Independent Business Units with their own P&L. These Business Units are based at SANGO-OTA in Ogun State of Nigeria, which is at an hour s drive from the Lagos International Airport.

    The Group Chairman of Sona Group, also carries out the role of the Group CEO and is involved in all important business decisions affecting the delivery not only at the long run but also month on month. The role holder of GM - Chairman cell will be the Executive Assistant to the Group Chairman and analyse the PROs and CONs of each and every business case that comes to the Chairman s table. He will be the custodian of all BU s MIS and prepare and present the critical comments on the MIS for review. Assist the Chairman to drive his business agenda.

    The role is to FastTrack the decision making without losing the quality of the decisions. Keep track of the progress of all the Chairman Agenda points in a systematic manner.

    This position will have the overall accountability to:

    Assist Chairman in driving the Business of the group.

    Put proper checks and systems in place for auto control the Chairman Agenda points.

    Co-ordinate the monthly review meetings and follow up the implementation of the decisions taken.

    Analyse and prepare business cases for chairman review.

    Facilitate the decision making process for matters put up for Chairman approval.

    High Degree of analytical ability, judgement of prudence

    Expert level proficiency in Excel and ERP

    Audit skills

    Presentation skills.

    This is a mid-senior role at group level. Family status may be considered after one year. The salary will commensurate with experience & skill.



    Requirements

    General Manager/ Manager Chairman cell

    Basic degree in Commerce/ BBA/ Law with ACA / MBA Finance or International Business/ Indian CS

    20 years of experience, of which minimum 5 years in association at Multi Company Boards, handling all the Business affairs of CEO/ Chairman office, Critical business analytics and assisting the CEO/ Chairman in corporate / high level decisions.

    Resources with multiple functional experience like Finance, Law, Audit, Company Affairs, M&A will be the ideal candidate.

    African experience is essential and Nigerian experience is desirable.
