    Boeing CommercialAirplanes has an exciting opportunity for anInspector Machining & FabricationB to join our quality assurance team inPortland,OR.

    Inspectors in this positionperform dimensional inspections of raw stock, fabricated parts,vendor parts, assemblies and tooling for conformance withapplicable drawings, specifications, quality standards,manufacturing plans and for workmanship, documenting anynon-conformance.

    Employees will performinspection of tooling, verify software/hardware used fornumerically controlled PME (Precision Measuring Equipment), and mayhave Material Review Board authority to validate and processRejection Tags per MRB dispositions. Inspectors will performaudit/surveillance of all processes as required and may provideinstruction and OJT for lower gradedemployees.

    PositionResponsibilities:

    • Analyze area inspection requirementsand assign work based on inspection flow andresources.
    • Use trigonometry, handbook formulae,blueprints, test equip., PME , and any documentation required toaccomplish job assignments.
    • Work with lowergraded employees to provide solutions to problems with parts andprocesses.
    • Determine sequence of and coordinatework.
    • Troubleshoot problems and develop plansto resolve issues.
    • Write processes tofacilitate inspection flow and specificationimplementation.
    • Provide assistance andinstruction to inspectors on drawing/specification interpretation,problem identification, investigation skills, computing skills andother policies and procedures, asrequired.
