    1. Responsibilities:

    • Ensure adherence to local health and safety regulations along with international standards.
    • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards.
    • Develop safety procedures to mitigate risks and provide guidance to staff.
    • Investigate incidents and recommend preventive actions.

    2. Environmental Focus:

    • Monitor environmental performance and compliance with laws.
    • Implement systems to minimize environmental impact and recommend strategies for sustainability.
    • Conduct audits to identify areas for enhancement.

    3. Training and Development:

    • Design and deliver training on health, safety, and environmental topics.
    • Ensure all staff receive necessary safety training.
    • Provide guidance to promote a safe work environment.

    4. Risk Mitigation:

    • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and monitor effectiveness.
    • Conduct assessments and adjust control measures as needed.

    5. Documentation and Analysis:

    • Maintain accurate records of incidents and activities, prepare reports.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

    6. Emergency Preparedness:

    • Create and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills.
    • Coordinate with relevant parties during emergencies.

    7. Continuous Enhancement:

    • Stay updated on regulations and best practices.
    • Improve safety and environmental systems continuously.
    • Engage in safety committees and relevant forums.


    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, environmental science, or related field.
    • Professional certification in health and safety preferred (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH).
    • Experience in similar role, especially in construction, oil, gas, or manufacturing sectors.
    • Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
