    • Complete maintenance work ordersfrom all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standardoperating procedures.
    • Perform day-to-dayroutine and preventative maintenance within the hotel rooms andpublic areas.
    • Respond promptly and efficientlyto any maintenance calls that arise either by the guest or otherdepartments.
    • Respond courteously to guestrequests promptly and resolve matters to the guest'ssatisfaction.
    • Able to prioritise themaintenance issues e.g.: to attend the breakdown of plant andmachinery on priority.
    • 6Perform maintenanceactivities in the guest rooms and public areas including electricalequipment, plumbing and Air conditioningetc.
    • Test, troubleshoot and perform basicrepair on all types of equipment.
    • To monitorfire Alarm / Life Safety System systems as necessary, to be fullyinformed of the system operation and to handle emergenciesinvolving the systems.
    • Understand and operateelectrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and watersystems.
    • Communicate with different departmentsand to provide them with information andassistance.
    • Able to use your wits and technicalabilities to solve problems and make repairs effectively andefficiently.
    • Able to maintain a daily logbookof work done during the shift.
    • Able to delegateduties to the Engineering team leaders, Ken fix-it and othertechnicians.
    • Able to complete the dailychecklist before handing over the shift.
    • Ableto look after the smooth functioning of all machinery andequipment.
    • Able give proper handover to thenext shift and also take regular briefing of the shiftstaff.
    • Enter all guest complaints and back ofthe house complaints as soon as they are received at theengineering control desk log book.
    • Execute thepreventative maintenance schedule and ensure all equipment anddesignated areas are maintained to the requiredstandard.
    • Maintain all tools, equipment, andworking areas in good condition.
    • Maintain theengineering working area and control desk in a good conditionalways.
    • Maintain maintenance inventory andrequisition parts and supplies as needed.
    • Trainand instruct other members of the staff through sharing ofknowledge and skills.
    • Attend all firefightingclasses and to obtain a thorough knowledge of firefightingappliances.
    • Perform any other job assigned bythe management as and whenrequired
