    The SeniorMaintenance Support Technician is responsible for theimplementation and ongoing application of the Technical Institutemaintenance regime. This is inclusive of all training devices andequipment used to support the delivery of all engineeringtraining.

    Additionallythe maintenance support team will be responsible for theimplementation and application of all Technical Institute toolcontrol procedures and the ongoing operation of tool stores.Ensuring a safe working environment is maintained analogous to anaviation maintenance environment.

    This rolewill support the Engineering Lead the execution of all performancemanagement duties this includes the development and implementationof objectives and employee development plans.

    TheTechnical Institute is located on Al UdeidAirbase.


    Responsibilities& KeyAccountabilities

    Leadinga team of maintenance support technicians in application of anintegrated maintenance regime. Ensuring the availability of a widerange of training aids anddevices

    Supervisingand undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance services onall training aids and equipment utilized within the engineeringprograms.

    Supportingthe Maintenance Support Lead in ensuring monthly performance ofMaintenance Support Personnel arecomplete.

    EnsuringSite specific consumables and materials are stored and correctlydocumented.

    Actingas a point of contact with instructional staff ensuring allrelevant information is readily available and understood regardingthe safe operation ofequipment.

    Supportthe Maintenance Support Lead with Operator / MaintainerTraining.

    Whendesignated by the Maintenance Support Lead assume responsibilitiesof Subject Matter Expert (SME) on completion of Original EquipmentManufacturertraining.

    Leadingby example strictly adhere to all relevant policies and proceduresensuring safe operation within the TechnicalInstitute.

    Supportthe Maintenance Support Lead in the resolution of any issuesaffecting the usage of equipment andperipherals.

    Ensuringall work carried out is documented in line with the MaintenanceManagementPolicy.

    Supportingthe Maintenance Support Team in stock control quality and safetyauditing.

    Identifyingto the Maintenance Support Lead any issues with tools spares andtestequipment.


    Requirements

    RecognisedEngineering Qualification (Level 3 orabove)

    Aminimum of 5 years experience in an EngineeringEnvironment.

    Experienceand knowledge of Synthetic TrainingEquipment.

    MechanicalEngineering knowledge includingHydraulics.

    Electricaland electronic engineering IT and computingknowledge.

    Proficientin the use of the applicable Testequipment.

    Ableto work / operate atheight.

    Demonstrateexcellent problem analysis and problemsolvingskills.

    Demonstratethe ability to remain calm tolerant and professional in a stressfuland demandingenvironment.

    Excellentcommunication skills both written andverbal.

    Demonstrategood knowledge of Microsoft OfficeApplications.

    Experienceof operating in both a Middle East and Military environment wouldbepreferred.

    Thefollowing skills are desirable but notessential:

    PortableAppliance TestingQualification.

    Troubleshootingand investigation of faults in Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC).

    ComputerDiagnostics.
