We are working with our client based in Qatar to source aCivil & Structural Engineer roles under Operations& Readiness Department.
This is a - years residentialcontract to be based in Qatar.Qualification:
Bachelor'sdegree in civil & Structural Engineering. CharteredEngineer status or equivalent is preferable. Minimum 15 yearsrelevant post graduate experience, of which 10 years in Oil& Gas industry with an international reputable Operatingcompany. Experience in operations and maintenance is mandatory.
Skill / knowledge of International, Shell DEPs and/or QP standardsrelated to his area of expertise and Design Software related toCivil & Structural Engineering.
Exposure with internationalconsulting company, EPIC contractor with projects'pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and Hand-over activitiesis an added advantage. Possess sound fundamentals in his disciplinearea. Shall possess very good technical skills in his discipline.Possess good communication, presentation skills and fluent inEnglish language Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Providetechnical support in the area of Civil/Structural and maintenanceaspect throughout all stages of the project.
Verify and reviewtechnical designs, documents and bids in accordance with approvedstandards and to meet Operations, Maintenance, Asset and PipelineIntegrity and HSE requirements.
Check and review all projectdrawings and documents (civil, structural, specifications andproposed materials) submitted by others in accordance with theproject specifications.
Plan and coordinate between Operations,Maintenance and Asset Integrity teams to ensure projectrequirements are met and aligned.Identifies potential hazardsduring Engineering activities (as applicable) such as DocumentReview, Design Safety Review workshop, SAFOP, HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP,QRA, FERA, etc., participates in technical meetings, commissioningactivities, SAT, Plant pre-start up safety audits, performancetests raises punch lists and provide support to operations andmaintenance teams in various stages of project activities.
Coordinate with Engineering, Project execution departments andOperations & Maintenance teams during projects'FEED and EPIC stages to align Operations and Maintenance, AssetIntegrity and HSE requirements.
Coordinate with all relevantstakeholders and resolve relevant technical issues, punch listsduring pre-commissioning and commissioning stages until theprojects are successfully commissioned and handed over If you arekeen and interested with the role,
