- The MaterialEngineer may conduct or supervise tests on raw materials orfinished products in order to ensure their quality.
- Planand implement laboratory operations for the purpose of developingmaterial and fabrication procedures that meet cost, productspecification, and performance standards.
- Review and makerecommendations for material selection based on designobjectives.
- Solve problems in a number of engineeringfields.
- Complete, check, and process tests andreports.
- Make geotechnical and QCrecommendations.
- Ensure that field laboratory isresponsible for the technical requirement.
- Assist inpreparing inspection, embankments concrete, and pavement.
- Ensure that off-site testing and certifications arevalid.
- Check and report on compliance with specificationsrequirements for compaction, gradation, mix proportions, strength,etc., in construction of embankments, structure, pavements, andincidental item.
- Establish laboratory and field-testingprocedures.
- Analyze foundation conditions.
- Field survey parties to comply with requests surveys.
- Degree in Civil Engineeringfrom an accredited university with minimum 12 years of relevantexperience and qualification in Materials and Control in largeinfrastructure development projects.
- Must possess theability to read and enforce working drawings and relatedspecifications.
- Computer literacy and excellentcommunication skills are a must.
