    To supervise the specialist team of drillingengineers and provide technical advice to the Drilling OperationsDepartments on procedures and equipment required to improve costeffectiveness, operational efficiency and safe delivery of currentand proposed drilling projects.

    Supervise andcoordinate the activities of assigned staff to ensure that the workof the section is completed in a timely and effectivemanner.

    Provide solutions to the operationsdepartments by analyzing drilling performance and developingmethods to optimize operationalefficiency.

    Develop innovative designs andprocedures for CLIENT drilling operations and ensure input of thesesolutions into future field development projects as well as ongoingoperations.

    Initiate and lead studies to improveprocedures and implement new technology for the purpose ofachieving safe, efficient and cost effectivewells.

    Recommend the standard for drillingequipment and materials for both offshore and onshore operationsconsidering the cost, operational efficiency and safetyaspects.

    Provide support to the operational teamby ensuring all software (e.g. data base software and technicalsoftware) required for effective management of drilling informationand planning are available and accessible, and that requiredpersonnel are trained on its applications to enhance operationalefficiency and ensure data integrity
