    Primary Purpose of JobThe Sr.

    Safety Officer (Drilling) shall provide expert advice andguidance to the Drilling and Completions operations teams inmanaging HSE risks through effective implementation of engineeringand management controls.

    The incumbent shall have expert levelknowledge and experience including ability to troubleshoot whenrequired on personal as well as process safety risk controlmeasures applied in Onshore and Offshore drilling, well workovers,rigless well interventions, well integrity, marine vessels& Barges operations, helicopter operation, SIMOPS and otherallied activities.

    1.Doha Office based position supported by fieldvisits (UD Offshore rigs, WHJs, marine spread andworkshops/plants).

    2.Assisting the Head of HSE in the developmentand delivery of best-in-class Drilling HSE Management Processes.3.Ensure the timely identification of HSE hazards, evaluation ofrisks for all activities and development of effective tools tomanage and reduce these risks to ALARP.

    4.Demonstrate good safetyleadership and behaviors, ensuring that the company safetyexpectations are communicated and maintained. 5.Foster a safeculture by being informed, mindful, learning, fair and respectful.6.Investigate incidents and implement learnings throughout thedrilling operations team. 7.Carry out safety audits and inspectionsof UD Facilities. 8.Participate in Incident investigations, followup and monitor incidents close out in SAP. 9.Monitor implementationof HSE training Matrix and attend HSE and technical training asdeemed necessary by the company. 10.Providing input to leading andlagging drilling HSE performance measures. 11.Conduct HSE Awarenesstraining sessions and review contractor drills to maintain andincrease QatarEnergy staff and contractor competency.

    12.Review andadd HSE requirements in tenders/contracts, evaluatebidders' submissions and monitor the implementation statusof the HSE plan /programs during every phase of the contract.13.Develop and review HSE procedures, standards, policies &guidelines.

    14.Assist in the implementation of WorkplaceEnvironment and Industrial Hygiene Management programs. 15.Monitorthe department`s and contractors HSE performance and identifyopportunities for improvement.
