    TheRole
    Are you a Production Engineer usedto working within time sensitive delivery dates, with oversight ofdesign through to build, coming from an engineering and/ormanufacturing background.
    Our client, a leader in theproduction of water treatment off the shelf products is looking fora Production Engineer to be based out of their site in Lane End.

    What will I bedoing?
    The Production Engineer's jobfunction is to provide engineering support to specific aspects ofthe clients Manufacturing facilities in both the UK and China.
    The Production Engineer's primary focus will be to takelead responsibility for the product integration from thedevelopment engineering phase to the manufacturing environment.
    Key responsibilities will include but notbe limited to;

    • Involvedin the early development stage of new product development, workingclosely with the engineering team to help assess new productsuitability for mass production. This will also includeimprovements to existing productportfolios.
    • Identify and produce any bespoketooling, jigs, or fixtures required for testing and mass productionfor different teams across the manufacturing facility. e.g, QualityControl, Research & Development.
    • Ableto visualise and plan processes and layout, stage material flow onthe production floor and coordinate primarily mechanical andelectrical build activities.
    • Produce and updatework instructions in order to manufacture products in the mostefficient way/lean manufacturing. This will include assemblyinstruction documents and videos. Training of technicians will alsobe part of this process.
    • Manage new parts andBOMs on new products.
    • Work closely with QualityControl to investigate and resolve any quality issues withproducts/parts.
    • Represents the department andprovides critical feedback to projectleaders.
    • Coordinates actions across departmentsand may check on quality and workprogress.
    • Tasks will be time-sensitive tooverall project deliverydates.

    ThePerson

    • Previousexperience in an administrative role, preferably within amanufacturing/logistics industry.
    • GCSE orequivalent in Maths and English (minimum4/5)
    • In-depth knowledge of inventory managementprinciples and best practices.
    • Excellentattention to detail organised and able to manage and prioritisework.
    • Familiarity with inventory managementsystems.
    • Ability to work well with suppliers,customers, and other team members.
    • Strongverbal and written communication.
    • Previousexperience coordinating with Suppliers and Customers, both internaland external.
    • Ability to work to definedworking standards and instructions.
    • Amethodical approach to work.
    • Familiarity withGoogle Suite Apps such as Docs, Sheets, andSlides.
    • Good presentationskills.
    • Able to both take instructions and workon owninitiative.
