    • Sets up the Patient AccessDepartment including all the related policies, procedures, andforms.
    • Creates related processes and workflowsincompliance with the Hospital's standards and policies.
    • Creates clear workflows with all internal and externalstakeholders (cross-functional).
    • Responsible for staffdevelopment, including training, reviews of progress andcommunication of findings with the Finance Department.
    • Manages and monitors the Patient Access team in regard to theirday-to-day tasks, performance appraisal, patient approach, and cashcollection/reconciliation.
    • Manages the Patient Accessteam scheduling and task delegation to ensure complete and fullschedule coverage as per the Hospital's needs andrequirements.
    • Responsible for adequate staffing andallocation in all Patient Access areas and wherever is required.
    • Implements the Health Information Privacy andPortability Act (HIPPA) rules and approach to ensure patientprivacy and confidentiality.
    • Monitors and manages thepatient access task implementation ensuring transparency, ethicalcommunication (internal and external clients).
    • Managesthe development and implementation of the activities in compliancewith the Business Unit policies, systems, processes, andprocedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure anefficient and effective operation.
    • Ensures registrationaudits are regularly performed to promote quality and identify rootcauses of issues to develop action plans for process improvement.
    • Sets up the required reports that need to be generatedfrom the system to monitor performance and gaps and set upcorrective actions and improvement plans.
    • Builds andleads a motivated, engaged, and competent team throughout theDepartment, by setting priorities and objectives, managingperformance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to improveperformance
