    About the role

    As the Finance Officer ERP you will be responsible for overseeingOracle Enterprise Resource Planning systems. The role willtroubleshoot and interact with ERP users. This position needs tomanage a user community for 700 Finance professional accountants ofQatar Airways and Subsidiary. The person will be the SPOC forfinance all matters related to Oracle Enterprise Resource Planningsystems. He will be involved in gathering finance requirementanalysing coordinating with IT conducting UAT and providingfeedback to internal customer etc. This position is also requiredto coordinate & communicate with external parties such asBanks IT consultants & Oracle supportetc.

    Accountabilities:

    • Plan and coordinatecomplex requirements within and/or across operating units; gathersorganises and assesses information develop and preparerecommendations as related to the companys financial operationalrequirements.
    • Should be a subject matter expertin Oracle ERP System with sound knowledge of financeoperations
    • Develop and facilitate Oracle ERPtraining to Finance professionalaccountants.
    • Provide assistance to internalexternal and state auditors to carry out theiractivities.
    • Provide assistance to the variousadhoc problems/errors in functional use ofsystem.
    • Ensure compliance with systems andprocesses to create effective and efficient environment to managethe support functions in line with Finance objectives andgoals.
    • Provide support to single or multipleOracle ERP modules used by Qatar Airways and Subsidiary:
      • General Ledger
      • AccountsPayables
      • AccountsReceivables
      • FixedAssets
      • CashManagement
      • Purchasing
      • Inventory
    • Provideassistance to finance teams during month end and financial year endclosing. Ensure all data is interfaced which is received from 3rdparty applications into the sub ledger or ledger. Errors need to beresolved before the module is finally closed. Accounting has to becompleted subsequently in sub ledgers modules; the data need to betransferred to General Ledger and posted before the sub ledgers andledgers are closed for the month/yeartransactions.
    • Should have the capacity to workin tight time lines.

    You willpossess:

    Essential

    • Experienced minimum 3 yearsof jobrelated experience required
    • BachelorsDegree or equivalent
    • Degree inAccounting.

    Preferred

    • OracleCertification in GL AP AR GL FA PO INV ispreferred

    Job Specific Skills:

    Essential

    • User level knowledge& experience of Oracle ERPFinancials
    • Excellent computer skills includingMS Office
    • Good Judgment and problemsolving
    • Ability to workindependently.
    • Ability to maintainconfidentiality of information & records. Insert practicaland technical knowledge needed including managementskills
