TThe incumbent will be responsible foranalysing and interpreting data to provide insights andrecommendations for business decisions, including collection,cleaning, and exploring data, and using various methods and toolsto find patterns, trends, and correlations.
They also communicatetheir findings using data visualization and storytellingtechniques.A data analyst needs to have strong analytical,statistical, and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge ofbusiness domains and data sources.
Some of the tools andtechnologies that data analysts use SQL, Python, R, Excel, Tableau,Power BI, Google AnalyticsEssential Duties &Responsibilities by Dimensions::
Analyse and document currentapplication parameters. Document, coordinate and obtain userapprovals on the suggested new parameters, Data procedures andcontrols. Evaluate user information requirements and recommend anddesign the proper control & management reports in order tofulfil these needs. Recommend and configure the applicationparameters to suit the business, users, and regulationsrequirements. Prepare documentation for the system user guides asper the overall documentation policy.
Design reports for thebusiness (MIS) and provide the details to the data Scientist andEngineers to streamline their development or deployments.
Liaisewith Data Engineer to prepare test environments by loading adequatedata for testing based on approved acceptance criteria and testcases. Review and approve data migration methods outcomes. Approveor disapprove the ML, AI Model or applications that are beingtested for live usage. Adhere to all data governing aspects issuedby Data Governance Team or any control department related to datagovernance.Ensure to meet the set measures of data quality issuedand published as guideline by Data Quality Team or any controldepartment related to data quality.
Provide timely/accurate data toexternal / internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control andRisk when required.Maintain activities in accordance with ServiceLevel Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieveimprovements in turn-around time Provide analytics to transform rawdata into a usable format by applying data cleansing, aggregation,filtering, and enrichment techniques.
Create interactivedashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicatecomplex analytical findings to stakeholders. Review existinganalytic processes to identify best practices and opportunities forimprovement.Education & Experience Requirements:
:
University graduate preferably with a Major in computer science,data science, information science, statistics, mathematics,information science, or related field. At least 8 years of relevantexperience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
Proven project experience with data analysis and visualizationtools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel, Google Analytics Provenexperience in utilization of related programming languages such asSQL, Python, R, Etc.
Excellent oral and written communicationskills (including report writing) in English and Arabic. Knowledgeof programming languages; R & Python in addition toLibraries like pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn for datamanipulation and analysis.Ability to query databases using SQL isessential for extracting data, and fair knowledge of databasesystems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL.
Knowledge ofusing tools and libraries like Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib,Seaborn, or ggplot2 to represent data in a visual format that iseasy to understand.
