    • Support major business functionsand provide detailed and in-depth specialized IT technicalexpertise to
    maintain applications support environmentand to check that all requests for support are dealt with accordingto
    agreed procedures.


    • Investigateoperational issues, problems, and requests for support, incoordination with colleagues and other
    stakeholders,seeking effective solutions. Analyzes underlying issues and theirroot causes and identifies
    available options forresolution.


    • Responds to requests for supportby means of making system modifications, developingworkarounds,
    manipulating data, reconfiguring systems,changing operating procedures, training users,producing
    documentation, or escalating requests todevelopment team or software suppliers.


    • Monitors progress of requests for support and ensures users andother stakeholders are kept informed. Takes
    correctiveaction to avoid or minimize delays.


    • Performsmoderately complex software modifications independently or workswith colleagues on larger or more

    complex software,specifies user interfaces, including inputs, reports, validationand error correction procedures, processing rules, access, securityand audit controls, recovery routines and contingencyprocedures.


    • Carries out routine configuration,installation and reconfiguration of Business Applications,Database
    Management Systems, and related Tools &Technologies.


    • Coordinates with colleagues andother stakeholders to specify data, data objects and informationflows that
    align with the needs of thebusiness.


    • Defines, documents, and executesmedium-scale projects, actively participating in all phases of theproject.
    Identifies, assesses, and manages risks andissues which might impact on the success of theproject.


    • Prepares and maintains realisticproject schedules (showing tasks and dependencies) and qualityplans and
    tracks all activities against them, providingregular and accurate reports as appropriate.


    • Ensures compliance with information security policies andstandards. Assesses configurations andsecurity
    procedures for adherence to legal and regulatoryrequirements.


    • Ensures all work is carried outand documented in accordance with required standards, policies andprocedures.
